Ellerton Road

Bought at probate, our Clients wanted to refurbish and extend the dilapidated property to make it an energy efficient and spacious home for their growing family.

A rear ground floor extension and hip-gable roof extension doubled the size of the original house. A sensibly sized rear dormer with juliet balconies sits comfortably in the roofscape and provides high-quality living space with plenty of natural light and ventilation.

Taken back to brick, the existing envelope was thermally upgraded, using internal and external wall insulation. The new building fabric followed LETI small scale housing design guidance providing significant improvements well beyond building regulation requirements. Underfloor heating is installed throughout, with an ASHP installed on the roof of the ground floor extension, providing energy efficient power for heating and hot water.
